Website for Car Dealers and Garages: What Matters

Car dealer, garage, tyre service or car preparation: the site of a car business sells trust. Here is what belongs on it and what businesses often get wrong.

Trust can be planned

In the car business customers compare with a critical eye, because a lot of money or safety is at stake. The good news: trust is built from things that can be shown on a page.

  1. Who you areBusiness, team, address, year of founding if it is accurate. With a photo, not a stock image.
  2. What you offerVehicles or services with prices or price ranges, as text.
  3. How it worksAppointment, test drive, collection: one or two sentences on what happens next.
  4. What others sayReviews via your Google listing, linked, not invented.

Car dealer: the stock is the site

For selling vehicles the site needs a stock list with filters and, for each vehicle, a page of its own with data, pictures and text. That is the part that serves search engines and buyers alike. Vehicle portals bring reach, but your own site is the place where you become visible as a business.

Garage: services and appointment

A garage is found for services: servicing, tyres, brakes, air conditioning, diagnostics. Each gets a section with a description and, where possible, a “from” price. The route to an appointment must be reachable at once, ideally without registration: a form with vehicle data, a call or a messenger.

Technology in the background

  • Fast loading on the phone, because customers search on the move
  • Structured data for search engines: name, address, hours, services
  • Phone number and address identical everywhere, including on the map service
  • Images in a good size that do not take forever to load
  • Legal notice and privacy policy complete

Typical mistakes

  • Vehicles as a mere wall of pictures without data
  • No prices and no hint of how to get an appointment
  • Outdated vehicles in the stock that were sold long ago
  • Stock photos of cars that you do not have
  • Brand logos without permission

Frequently asked questions

Does every vehicle need a page of its own?

For buyers and search engines that is the best solution. With a very small stock, a list with details is enough too. We decide that together.

How do I keep the stock up to date?

That depends on the size. With few vehicles simple maintenance is enough; with many we discuss a solution beforehand.

Do I need online appointment booking?

Only if you manage a very large number of appointments. A form, a call and a messenger are usually enough.

Can I use brand logos?

Only with permission. Ask the manufacturer or importer. I am not a lawyer.

What do I need from you?

Photos of your business and the vehicles, prices or price ranges, hours and a conversation about your services.

What does it cost?

From €490 net for up to five sub-pages, hosting from €24.90 a month. Depending on scope I give you a fixed quote before we start.
